| Morgan Miller, a 25-year-old New York native, has been an avid
shoe collector since childhood. Miller recalls trips to Europe for
fashion weeks and trade shows with her father, who manufactured
for luxury brands such as Gucci, Canali and Zilli. It all began in a
shop on the Italian island of Capri where sandals were styled for
Miller's 6-year-old foot. Her Italian shoe affair continued in her preteens
with her first designer shoes -- simple black Prada wedges
with a Lucite buckle, and Dolce & Gabbana cork wedges with a
denim strap and gold sequin accents.
After graduating from Marymount Manhattan College in
New York with a bachelor's degree in Communications, Miller
relocated to Miami where she fell in love with the vibrant
backdrop and the eclectic people. While New York City is a town
where wardrobes are notoriously laden with black, at her new
home Miller began experimenting with bright colors, animal prints
and Swarovski crystals.
Combining her background in fashion with her passion for
footwear, the playful shoe aficionado opened her first boutique in
2006, just off famed Lincoln Road in South Beach. With a limitless
array of materials at the boutique, fashion-forward shoe addicts
have all the ingredients to create their own signature shoe styles.
Looking forward, Miller plans to open new locations in South
Florida, New York, Los Angles, and Las Vegas before setting her
sites on international expansion. Now known as "The Queen of
Sole," Miller resides in Miami with her husband Josh and her two
dogs, Oskar and Luca. |
